LEAD COOK
YaYa’s Yuniversity is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Cook to join the team. The ideal candidate enjoys cooking and teaching our young scholars about nutrition and the benefits of healthy eating habits.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
-Maintain a high degree of safety and sanitation in the kitchen
-Adhere to Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) procedures and regulations
-Prepare nutritious menus
-Substitute food for scholars with allergies
-Work closely with classroom teachers
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
-High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
-6 months to 1 year experience cooking and preparing food
-Knowledge of safe temperatures to avoid foodborne illness
-A team-orientated player with a positive, professional attitude
